Wow that stinks! But I remember a few years ago how badly muddy the parking fields were, and it really didn't rain that much. I can imagine it's mostly a lake by now. Ah well, looks like I'll be there in the fall!

That's a shame, but not exactly shocking.
I haven't been in several years, but have never been there when the parking lot was not a muddy mess. It started out that way by raining in the days leading up to it, then it ALWAYS rained during the weekend. They used to have tractors circling around the lot, pulling people out.
With that history, and the rains pre-soaking everything, I'm not all that surprised. It wouldn't take much more than "normal" rains to do it.
