Springfield XD45 Ammo Question

Before I get chastised, I did do a search, and I did sift through about 4 pages of history before I posted.

Ok, I am finally going to buy some .45 ACP Self Defense ammo for my Springfield XD45. I come to INGO again for your expertise.

What SD ammo should I avoid all together?

What works best for my XD?

Does it really matter? Bullets is bullets!

Anything will help.

Just get a good bonded JHP. Run enough through it to make sure it cycles well and then you will be all set.

Personally I think the Winchester PDX1 is awesome ammo.

Luckily I've had zero issues with my 45 service digesting any ammo, but all guns are different. As far as SD ammo I've carried 230gr hydrashoks, 230gr gold dots, and now am carrying 185gr hornady critical defense all have shot with close to same accuracy (very good) but YMMV, like I said all guns are different and I've heard about some XD's not liking (insert ammo brand here). Bottom line, pick your flavor, run some down the pipe and see what YOU shoot best with. Sorry for the kinda vague answer but ammo is more of an "what ever works best for you and the gun" kinda thing in my experience. Hope this helps.
