My buddy's xds' extended magazine does not bring the round up enough to get into the chamber i don't know if there's a issue with the flush mag he just let me use the extended mag at the range because he told me about this problem with getting a round to chamber so then I noticed it wasn't up enough does anyone else have this problem

sounds stupid, but is the grip extension sleeve oriented correctly? I havent played with mine to know if it could be latched in with it upside down, but just a thought! Never had an issue with mine.

Does it do the same thing if you lock the slide back, insert the mag then let the slide slam home? If you have a closed slide and lock a mag in a lot of the time the round is pushing so tightly against the bottom of the slide that you can't pull it back all the way to properly strip the round out of the magazine. The slide will go back short, slide the top round forward with friction and jam it up on the feed ramp, never getting behind it to properly chamber it.

That's the only way I load my XDS, slide back and locked, then insert the mag, then drop the slide. When it is to be carried, take out the mag. add the additional round and reinsert.
