Does anyone know if the stainless steel pin media will work in a vibratory tumbler. I've watched a friend of mine process brass in a sealed tumbler with soap and water and these pins, they look like new including the primer pockets! Just wondering if anyone has done it in a vibratory? Thanks:dunno:

    Rotation is needed.

From what I understand you must have a rotating barrel of some type. Some use the barrels, some use cement mixers!!--For the VOLUME guys..Bill.:rockwoot:

I cry myself to sleep every night remembering I gave my "rock tumbler" to my brother in law for a church project and then he sold it at a yard sale.

SS media is for wet tumbling. The media breaks the dirt free and then the dirt is suspended in the soap you add to the mix.

I just read recently that tumbling just the brass with the soap and lemishine without the media does 90% as good as with the media. I haven't tried it, just a rumor. I may try it next time just to see. I love the stainless steel / thumler's system!

This is true. I have done it by accident.
