I am seriously considering a Stribog. The issue is what barrel length. I was leaning toward the five inch, but now am thinking about the eight inch. Both come with three of the new curved magazines. The five inch is $100 more than the eight inch, but price isn't really an issue here. My gut says the five inch, but I am torn.

Let us know how you like it if and when you get one, I am interested in them also. A few members have previously reported on them but not any of recent production that I have seen

That said, I think I would go longer barrel (if it didn't make it unwieldy) in order to obtain the additional muzzle velocity. The 5 inch would seem to offer no performance improvement ballistically over a 1911

    Running a supresssor = 5”

    Not running a suppressor = 8”

Either way, 3” of barrel length isn’t going to change muzzle velocity that much.
