Haven't seen him in the daylight yet but the girls will bring him out soon enough. I hope my wife can have a chance at him. That would be cool!

Look at the shoulders/chest/neck on him! Nice!

Or...could let him live (and hope no one else takes him) so he can be assured of passing along his genes... hehe

Curious...how old would everyone guess he is? I am trying to learn to field judge. My mental picture of a 3.5 year old is a deer who is starting to fill out, neck getting slightly swollen...muscles are visible but still somewhat leaner in the body.

From what I have read...4.5 and up start to get really thick in the body and more like a bull build. I would guess he is at least 4 years old...but is there anything on him that says I am 5.5 vs 4 years old?

Hard to judge just by head gear. If he was standing broadside you'd have more clues. As he stands now I'd say 3.5. 4.5 is possible, though if he's eating good I'd expect just a bit more bone on top. He's definitely a respectable animal and if I was your wife i'd not turn down a good shot at him.:yesway:

you guys might be right at 3.5. I was watching a judging video on bass pro and they said that at 3.5 there is still some neck/shoulder seperation and a small dip up at the back of the waist. At 4.5 the shoulder and neck almost blend into one solid mass and the back of the waist is level with the brisket.

    He's quite a stud indeed! ;)
I really though it would be a thread about Chuck Norris.
That's nice of you to let your wife have him.
