You ever feed your dog the cat's food? I don't think it would stay in him long enough to get any nutritional value. Human scraps are a no-go because we will be consuming all that.

Its more of a quantity thing. If he had a regular dog food size portion of cat food yes I'm sure he would. Since its cat food you would just need to adjust the portion. If he eats a cup of dog food give him a half of cat.

I read that as half a cat.... ha ha

    Great, but which half first?

So anyhow, would it possibly make more sense to store higher protein foods or cat food as a SHTF reserve? Working on how much he consumes per month of his regular food now.

Higher protein, less filler, less poop. When shtf less s is better. This would also apply to cheaper dog food vs higher end. Diamond is the best bang for the buck i can recommend. Big R sells it. If you wanted the good stuff, mayday industries sells dog food with a 5 year shelf life.
