I was shootint at MCFG when it dawned on me that i had no idea at what distances the targets are set at. I couldn't find any signage that showed distances, though I probably didn't look hard enough haha. Without further ado, here are my questions: at what distances are the first set of targets and second set of targets in the pistol range located at? At what distance is the metal gong/plate located at?

    Thanks a ton guys!

Do you set the targets there by walking down range? Just count your steps. If you know what you normal stride is, you know the distance. My walking stride is 32-32 inches, so 3 feet per stride works about right.

You do not have to be too accurate. I assure you, the bullet cannot tell the difference if you are 5 or ten feet off in your calculation.

I should have paced them, you're right. Seems like there's a bit of controversy as to what they really are. :P

My buddy swears that the new placement of the gong is 100 yards at least.
