$475 for pistol LGS. Magwell and grips $140. Made by Armscor. Budget gun that seems to work. If it goes my usual 5000 round test I will let you know.

    5 1/2 # trigger from factory too.

Easy there... AllenM built me a 9mm Commander that is one bad mofo.... it’s a sweet shooter and runs like a champ.:rockwoot:

No doubt here. Just add 1 to that and then you might be on to something.....:stickpoke:

Hey no knock. I have owned 2 of them and even CKW did not like them. I got them for her so the 1911 was easier to use. 1 was a full on ground up AllenM custom. Sweet sweet shooter. Just boring as 1911's go.

I was joking of course. I have two 9mm 1911s.... oops, I just thought of a third... I have three or more.
I have been mulling a 38 super for several years as well, but have never convinced myself I needed one.

Interested to see how the OP's tests come out.
It would seem that some of the less expensive entry level 1911's are stepping up to the plate. Lets see if they can hit.

I too have been thinking of a 38 Super just for kicks. Mine would be a 2011 build though. I like the 9mm in my Commander for getting new shooters introduced to the 1911 platform without the ammo cost of 10mm or 45. Let’s them get the feel for the platform and controls. Then bring out the 10mm and 45s.

my 9mm is almost boring to shoot. Even a novice can shoot it accurately. I credit that to the guy who built it.

As you know he gets all of my heavy lifting.
