I saw that interview and was chilled to the bone!
The one person who should have known what was going on before anyone else - the press or the public - was totally clueless! How frightening is that!!

Isn't it refreshing that after all the bs since 9-11 that we have reverted back to our same old head in the sand intelligence standards but have infringed the rights of ordinary citizens in almost every way of their lives all in the name of keeping us safe? You really have to question what the hell is going on and how much money has been spent for the limited gains we have attained. Goverment is most assuredly never the answer. They only make things worse most of the time and you end up with un-intended consequenses which most always are detrimental to the public. What we need is an Elliot Ness type of individual to become President, head of the FBI, CIA, NSA, DHS chief. Until then I can only assume that we are just trying to prevent the last attak by taking away more freedoms, not preventing the next one with better methods.
