The 10 amendments of H.R. 822

For those that have not really looked into the H.R. 822 (National reciprocity bill) and what it is going through, here are the 10 amendments they are wanting to tag it with.

IMO some are incredibly stupid, hope those dont stick.

But a good read into the bill anyway....scroll to the bottom for the amendments.

What do you all think of them?

Out of the 10 amendments only nine show up in the legislative history at the following site. The only one that passed was concernig the GAO. From the site above, amendment 5 by Rep Conyers from MI is not listed below. I would surmise it was not even considered.

Ammendment 8 is ridiculous! Requiring you to notify that state's law enforcement that you intend to carry in their state at least 24hrs prior.
I don't see the point?!? If you have a requirement to notify in that state already, shouldn't that be sufficient?

Amendment 4, I could see them doing. If they're going to recognize permits from all states, then it makes sense that they'll need an easy way to look up individuals from out of state to check on their permit status.

Other than that one, the rest are just BS.
