    It's not like any of the Bond actors (with possible exception of Pierce Brosnan, I don't know) would have known the difference. Connery and Moore are both virulently anti-gun. Hypocrites.

    While the Bond actors may not have had a lot of grasp on it, it is interesting that Fleming thought so highly of small calibers. Ian Fleming was, without a doubt, an exceptionally successful spy during WWII. Many of the Bond novels were loosely based on his and other spies experiences.
