I’ve bicycled the canal towpath from the armory up into Broad Ripple and beyond several times, a really nice ride:

Neat. A section of the canal is on my daily running route. Didn't know it was such a gigantic boondoggle.

Doing a little reading…. Looks like the excavations were not ten minutes north, south, and east of where I live. I’ll do more reading just because I’d like to know exactly where they were. Thanks again and I’ll be checking out more on this gentleman’s channel.

You wont regret it. He does amazing work. He's in my top 3 channels.

And please share your results on the digs. Im not from your neck of the woods, but do find the history interesting.

I’ve been reading for the last bit and I’ve drove by and layed eyes on these areas my whole life and never knew their significance. What’s funny is I live in Anderson….. at one time the place I live would of been in Victoria, Indiana. Only one house was built in Victoria before the bottom fell out of the canal business and it became just another part of Anderson.
