    Oh, well I doubt he's the type of guy to consult his union, because he appears to be the kind of guy that can think for himself.

    However, if he had consulted his union, I'm sure he would have been told to toe the communist/democrat/socialist party line, and get poked.

    Years ago our department tried to tie $2500 in benefits to your HSA to a health screen. The union pointed out that per contract you couldn't unequally distribute benefits. Now everyone gets the HSA deposit if they do wellness health screen or not. Civilian employees still have to get the health screen. I'm sure a "major metro fire dept" has a contract as well.

    Not commenting specifically on this situation, most kinds of discrimination are legal. Only those specifically outlawed are not.

    Since my wife's passing freed my time up a bit, I've been offered access to a couple jobs, but the thought of someone telling me I _have_ to get vaccinated cools off any ardor I might have for getting more money.
