Thompson SMG parts kit into rifle or SBR?

Anyone of you gunsmiths have experience turning a Thompson parts kit into a rifle or SBR? What is involved? I'm guessing it's more involved than my normal AR build. Thought I would ask before I sold or traded the one I have listed in the classifieds. I would love to have a tommy gun

A Thompson FA is an open bolt gun, which the ATF doesn't like to see in semi auto. Reworking it to fire closed bolt in semi auto is going to take some work, you might have better luck just cutting down the barrel of a Numrich SA gun.
