Dating from 1929 to today by the M.C. Cognet Cutlery Firm the Douk Douk is a very simple French made pocket knife. Douk Douk is the name of a Melanesian spirit incarnation and these knives were made originally for sale to France's colonies in Oceania. Later model would have other incarnations such as the Tiki and El Baraka. Mine are of the original design in the two common sizes. These were often turned into a fixed blade knife by simply hammering the handle together and wrapping with friction tape.
