Just like the title says. i have a Winchester model 70 Ultimate Shadowhttp://www.cdnninvestments.com/wiulshshacbl.html in 270wsm I am trying to buy a new stock for and need to know how to find out the year it was manufactured. thanks ahead of time for any help.

i have a Winchester model 70 Ultimate Shadow in 270wsm I am trying to buy a new stock for and need to know how to find out the year it was manufactured.

2001-2006.

Although it doesn't make any difference whatsoever when buying a stock for a short action Winchester 70(THAT WAS MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CT - look on the barrel).

While the WSM barrel contour is slightly different than the standard sporter contour, bottom metal and action inlet are the same.

The new South Carolina action has a different trigger inlet, and small changes to the bottom metal.
