Years ago on a call at the old Indy airport I was just about to walk through tk the swcure side and I stopped walking and looked at the good officer. I asked if I could leave my tool box because I need to go back to my truck.

My SIL put his g43 in my daughters purse before a trip to Miami ( driving, they live in Florida) the next week she goes to fly out of Tampa…. Guess who forgot she had a gun in her purse….. looking at a $5k fine right now…..

If you own a firearm, you MUST thoroughly scour ALL of your bags before you leave the house for anything prohibited. You cant assume you are GTG. Assumptions are expensive sometimes.

Which is why when I fly, I completely empty my Maxpedition messenger bag (and holster) as well as my luggage. I then have the wife double check that I dont have so much as empty brass or gun accessory before I load the bags to fly somewhere.
