typing trouble

I am having problems while typing PMs and forum replies. It seems that I have to hold the keys down for a second to get the letters to type on screen. All my emails as well as other forums work OK. I am not very computer savvy. Could this be a security setting on my end? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a wireless keyboard by chance? Please explain your system setup so that we may provide more assistance.
