I just received a PM from a gentleman welcoming me,,,,why not allow replying to pm's before your 15 posts are up? I know rules are rules, but this almost seems silly and he may think I'm being rude by not replying.

I did The PM was a welcoming PM from a gentleman who was born and raised in the same area I live....I typed up this long reply and got the message. I figured posting this would help feed the post count

The restriction was put in place because spammers were joining the board and PM-spamming the members for cell phones, enlargement pills, etc. We wouldn't know about the spam unless someone complained, but by that time the damage was done.
