I had the joy, and the honor, to take 3 adults, and 9 youth members of Venture Crew 125 to the Atlanta Conservation Club Sunday, March 4th. Thanks to Jeff Brown, who conducted an NRA First Steps Pistol course, 10 of the 12 participants who never fired a handgun before, learned basic safety and use.
Jeff shared a comment with me that I had overlooked until then. He said he enjoyed watching students shoot for the very first time and seeing the look of accomplishment. I missed it but afterwards, I had a chance to talk to all of them since I'm their Adviser. Everyone of them wants to do it again, when it's warmer!
