Ok, if this isn't allowed, I apologize. I went to Sears recently to get some more tools to work on my Jeep. When I asked if they gave military discounts, I was amazed with the response. Until the 11th, Sears is running a deal for Military. It's 40% off of regularly priced items, and 10% off sale priced items.

+1 good to know. Lowes if you have your old military id you get 10% off total purchase year round. I was also told if you show va card it works too.

Just a thought I am not a veteran, but I wonder if the Sears deal is good at Kmart as well since they are basically the same company?

Lowes used to give me a discount w/ my old military ID, but they started looking at the date and since its expired they wouldnt take it. Then they would take my VA card, but even then they started looking for something on it saying I had a service connected disability. I dont get a discount there anymore. I dont complain either and still shop there often. Home depot is starting to follow the same policy.

I usually cover up the date so they can't see it. I never used my va card but I do have service connected so I guess if thats what they look for then I'm good to go. I use to go to home depot on their vet days but now live about 20 miles away lowes is right down the road.
