Vigo County Rod & Gun Club Suffers Large Fire

I am not familiar with this group or know any members. But a hard hit on a decent organization, first opened in the 1920s.

Dozens of tankers were called to the Rod & Gun Club fire - no injuries were reported

A Monday night fire destroyed the Rod and Gun Club near Rosedale, Indiana.

It wasn’t a gun club as most
Know it. It was a restaurant where gangsters like Al Capone hid out along with politicians. I have been told the original building had private booths that had a door that released to boat docks on the Wabash River.

The original Rod and Gun Club burned down in 1970 and it was rebuilt, they packed it full of artifacts from the past.

My motorcycle club had several Christmas parties there, great food and a nice place (but dated).

It will be missed for sure
