    So many SIGNS...

Also Falls City for @indiucky for little to no apparent reason.

    Better times?
West Main Street, New Albany, Indiana. Late 1960s / early 1970s (see the Ford Galaxie in the background).

Fast forward to present day: CSX's latest Heritage Unit- A GE ES44AH painted in the classic Monon livery with number 1897 to pay homage to the year the company was established.

    A holler in Kentucky
If you could pan the camera 180 degrees, you would see the K+I bridge, which is still a railway bridge over the Ohio, but back when I was a kid, it was a toll bridge with one narrow lane in each direction. Used to ride across it with my dad when he worked in Louisville. It was sketchy as hell back then, had a steel grate for a driving surface, and it would make all kinds of racket.

This is the closest I could get to the bridge from the Indiana side on Google Maps.
That's the bridge at the end of the rail line.
