I don't know that much about tactical flashlights but this had all the features I was looking for. The nice thing is everything can be actuated or changed with one finger or thumb. No twisting.

With the 18650 rechargeable, it gives the most performance.

    Max 340 lumens
    Max 280 meters
    Max 600 Hours
5 lm, 115 lm, 340 lm, and strobe (8 hours)

It will do 4 hours at 340 lumens with the 18650's.

I didn't want a weapon mounted light but one I can keep by the bedside.

Any suggestions on which 18650 batteries and recharger to use would be appreciated.
