    I would not be doing that if it was offered. Too many failure points that would lead to a dunked firefighter, in full turnout gear, into a waterway. The gear is heavy... have you ever tried to swim in turnout gear? not my cup of tea I guess

    I,m thinking a remote/drone version would be excellent for departments like Chicago where the river is adjacent to densely developed areas.

    As mentioned, I can see problems that have been mentioned.
    Add in, very limited use.
    Extra training.
    Reoccurring training and proficiency.
    Failure.
