Welded Sig Sauer P228 training gun

Haven't seen one of these in years. They were welded around the barrel hood. Were used for sky marshal training in the 80s. Must have serial number. Now, why? Years ago a dealer in Louisville National Gun Day had a contract to destroy pistols. He used to strip the parts off prior to destruction. Gives you chills doesn't it. Anyway I bought a complete parts set for a P228. You see where this is going don't you? I know it's a long shot, but this is bugging the heck out of me. Now, I know they sell an 80% frame out of Canada. That is just too much work. Thanks for looking. No pictures naturally.

I know i have seen these for sale. Frame or the parts kit gets it.
