I hope this fails so big it costs a CEO a job. I know I’m so so mad about it I’ll do my part to avoid that place like the plague.

Look at how much Wendy's has been in the news - Free advertising.

This is all to get folks to use their app. Once you have that, you're in their "ecosystem".

It's all about data, learning customer trends and direct (cheaper) marketing to those consumers.

I'd wager to bet, many in this thread aren't the core consumer Wendy's is going for. Not that they don't want your business, just that you're not their target audience.

I know there’s an adage about all advertising is good advertising (or something like that). But does that hold for people/companies that is in the food serving business? Sure, Wendy’s is getting a lot of attention right now but I’m not sure it’s the kind that will grow business.

I have never had a Butterburger.
I always thought of Culver's as more of a seafood place with a iced yogurty gimmick to draw youth.

I usually get the Northwoods Walleye sandwich.
A Mushroom Swiss Double Butterburger looks appealing, too.
Now that you've brought it up, I could go for either about now.

But they WILL instead use flex pricing to lower costs during slower times to boost business.

Typical marketing ploy like somebody said upthread. Promise the worst then when you appear to back down people see the not as bad thing almost like its good.

"WE ARE GOING TO BAN ALL GUNS!"

"NOOOO!!!!! YOU CANT BAN ALL GUNS!"

"On second though we are not going to ban all guns. Just a couple."

"Well in that case, its not so bad I guess. Could be worse. At least its not ALL guns. "

Although WRTV's article was idiotic. Headline "Wendys not doing surge pricing"
In the footer are a list of other stories from the Scripps newswire. One of the headlines?
"Wendy's is going to implement surge pricing."

    LOLWUT?
    TL;DR

Wendy is banning guns? Some Guns? Which ones?OC?CC?RIFLES?
