during lunch. Man it was beautiful outside.

Only had one good bite (2nd cast) and completely missed the hook set.

Caught me totally by surprise and I kicked myself over it, ugh.

Never thought I'd be at a pond with 60 degrees temps in short sleeves on Feb 1!

Yesterday was my 33rd b-day and there have not been too many times in the past when the weather has been this nice to go out (I have ice fished on my b-day before). So I went over and bank fished Island. Didn't land anything but it was nice to get out and do something different on what is normally a cold, miserable day. Kind of like what the weather was this time last year (for those that don't remember we had a bad ice storm on Feb.1 last year).

It cost me the ridicule from A friend of mine because I was making fun of her explorer and put my Jeep in a ditch. I drove right out though, lets see an explorer do that!

I would get the boat out of it's winter hibernation mode... but I just know we're gonna get snow between now and April.

I put my suburban in a cornfield sideways which ended up blowing out both tires on the right side needless to say it was a really bad night

I'm fighting that urge as well but like you I believe we will see snow after this warm weather goes away. I'm actually hoping for a good cold snap and get some time on the hard water. I'm not really planning on taking my boat out until March.

got an hour in after work today. Tried a Rapala suspending jerkbait for a while, then a white senko. No hits, no swings, no misses. But it was a great day

I'd throw suspending jerkbaits and wait a while in between jerks or smaller soft plastics like a 3-4" senko. Throw a smaller spinner bait and you can get into some nice crappie right now too.

If you go over to Island Pit use some Gulp Eggs and you can get into some trout.

Nice! It cost my neighbor a brand new windshield when he threw hot water on it. When the water was in mid air I said "NONONONO!" But, I laughed all the way to work.
