    Why?
    There are many makers for slides,what would make yours better?
    Slides can be had pretty cheap,you would have to make many to be worth while.
    Just trying to figure your reasoning!

    I have a taig I am happy with, its small, but good. Tormach 440 or 770 is 10k or less for starter package. Haas is probably what I'd choose with a bigger budget.
