Hi all!
I'm Ares, fairly new to the forum. I am an Appleseed instructor and I am looking for a little bit of advice from you all - especially the preparedness folks.
I am deploying in March in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and I was wondering what I said in the above title.
For those of you who have deployed, and/or have real life experience being away from the basic amenities and nicities of being at home:
What do you wish you had, while deployed?
and
What did you forget?
I am trying to get together what I think I need - I know if anything happens there will be plenty of supplies, but things that make life easier/more comfortable/help to ensure my survival are helpful.
The key thing, obviously, is staying alive if SHTF. It's a totally different animal over there.
So, your comments, advice!
Thanks!
Ares/West
