    I won't be shooting my "M16" a lot, but when I do I would like to have some really clean shooting ammunition that I can use once in a while.

    Since I haven't even shot my rifle yet; I need input from my fellow shooters.

    What is the cleanest 5.56/2.23 ammo you have shot?

    Please be as specific as you can like;

    American Eagle/ Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJBT)/ 55 gr. /FEDAE223J

    Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate any and all answers.

    Thanks in advance.

    Gunner52,

    I believe you. I used to shoot a lot of 9mm S&B. The 9mm was really a good brass to reload 5 or 6 times.

    Do you remember if it was the light green box or the regular muliti-colored box?

    Yellow and green box, mostly yellow.
