Is there a place online that you guys recommend checking out to get a ball park idea what a used gun is worth? I have an M&P9c that I bought last year new, and I'm looking to sell or trade, but I hate to lowball myself or ask for more than it's worth.

I know there's a book, and I found a place online that wants to charge me a fee to tell me, but I don't want to spend money to find out what it's worth.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    If you want more info:
M&P9c - will come with everything it came with from the factory
Round count is probably between 1000-1500. I really enjoyed this thing for the year.
Does not have mag disconnect (will fire without a magazine).
    Does have thumb safety.
    Very minor holster wear.
It was regularly cleaned and maintained, however, there is a hint of rust on the rear sights.

I'm sure if you posted a round count and condition of the gun you would get a better "market value" from users on here than you would from a book. $.02

Sold listings in the classifieds, completed (sold) auctions on Gunbroker, reasonable listings on armslist.

My personal rule of thumb is if it is a common, relatively easy to find current production firearm, I will want to pay no more than 80%-85% max of what I can buy it for new. For instance, an M&Pc 9mm from Buds is $478 cash with free shipping, or about $510 OTD with CC & FFL fees. Thus I would want to pay no more than say $400-$450 assuming pristine condition.

That just happens to be the price that I see most used M&P9c selling for...
