Now I am no engineer but couldn't you get the same effect by using 2 1 inch scope rings and attaching them together without the upper part of the rings, so basically you would bolt on both bottom parts of the scope mounts open end to open end? If it works I would go steel rings with QD .

Go to the 4th rifle from the bottom of the page. It looks like exactly what you need. You may be able to contact them and see if you can just buy the mount.
