I believe most defensive shotgun classes are aimed to dispell such myths covering different types of ammo, what each of them will and will NOT do, patterning, how to efficiently run them (similar to a combat carbine course), etc...just point the barrel end in the general vicinity of what you want to shoot. what more is there?
