Which knife?

If you had to buy a knife to meet the following criteria, what would you buy?

Primary use will be batoning firewood or general bushcraft. Prefer a 5"-6"+ blade so it's long enough to easily split typical firewood. That said, smaller is better.
Would prefer a decent MOLLE compatible sheath with it
Budget is preferably sub-$100

I have a BK9 somewhere, but it's a little on the large side.

I'm not interested in splurging for Busse or Bussekin. I don't need a tank of a knife.
I have an ESSE 4 already, it's too short for moderate batoning work.

I know it may not be a popular opinion. But as an owner of more than one ESEE knife, I like the SOG Seal Pup Elite. It batons better than my ESEE 5(which it should) and it's lightweight. And at $65, it under your budget. But if you're looking for "The One", then the BK2 or similar offering from ESEE would be the way I'd go.

Why not wait a little, save some more, and buy a Busse? ESEE, and BK&T are great knives, but if you PLAN on buying it to abuse, Busse is better!

I would look at the ESEE Laser Strike. It's a bit over your budget, but it is a really awesome camp knife.

IMHO, for the price and warranty, you will find nothing better than the ESEE 4 or 6.
