Why Not 45acp For Deer?

Neither would be my first choice but either would be better than a .410 which is also legal.

A .410 slug only weighs about 110 grains, worse it is made of soft lead. All the energy in the world doesn't amount to much if the bullet doesn't have the sectional density and construction to penetrate.
