I had posted earlier about how our upstairs doesn't have a return air vent and is hot in the summer. We had a window ac unit in the bedroom. It has died. We took it out and tried to clean it. Still doesn't work. Is it worth trying to get it repaired or just buy a new unit? And if a new unit, any recommendations? Each bedroom is about 200 sq ft. There are 3 of them on the top floor. Would it be possible to have one window unit cool the entire upstairs?

    Thanks
    Jason

Toss it. Not worth the time and money.
As to replacement one unit will do the room it is in. As I have stated in your other thread it takes some sort of ducting to move the air from room to room. Without looking at what you have I can only guess and there is far to much guessing on the interwebs....:)

Small units, 4K to 6K BTU in each room would make it very comfortable and each area could be set at a desired temp.
