Seems like it wasn't long ago I did a sight install on a colt marked 1 of 500.

I went through and did pics of the entire process this was like one of my first paying jobs and I remember I was so nervous because it was a limited model.

That was about a year ago, Things have come a long way.

Headed to ACC to shoot Allen's latest masterpiece. I will post a follow up detailing my thoughts. Probably start a new thread.

Exactly what was done? Stock 1911 into that masterpiece?

Yes it is a 2011 not a 1911. Google bald caspian slide if you want to see how they come. But every single piece of this gun is hand fitted...not one piece is a drop in. The grip fitted to the frame, the frame fitted to the slide, the barrel fitted to the slide, barrel chamber cut, slide lightening, blending, drilling & tapping, trigger job, more blending, tuning, These guns are like Formula One cars, 1911's are like sprint car dirt track ****!. If you can build one of these guns and it runs....then you are one hell of a gunsmith!
