Never had a fire behind them. We ended up installing a fireplace insert. We paid $400, asking $200, willing to drive 30 minutes from Greenfield.

Heavy and sturdy doors, these are the large size and will fit 36" to 43" wide by 25.5" to 32.5" high hearth.
