XDM 45acp Competition

I was wondering if any body had experience with the competition model XDMs. I was thinking about getting one, but wasn't sure. I wanted a gun that would be fun and accurate to shoot and I love the feel and how the xdm shoots, but I also want to use it as my carry gun. I did some research and found it wasn't much bigger than a Government 1911 so I didn't think it would be too bad. But does anyone have experience with the competition models. Thanks

I don't own a competition model yet but I did have the XDM 45 and it's a big gun! I plan on getting another one next month and I will OC it every now and then. I have held the new 5.25" models and they are pretty long, I personally wouldn't want to carry it but they sure look like a blast to shoot. If you're not worried about hiding it I guess it doesn't matter, but they feel and look quite a bit bigger than ym 1911's to me.
