I just took the plunge and purchased an XDs .45. My intent is to have this as a carry gun if I choose to do so but to also take it to the range to shoot whenever I can.

As far as IWB holsters are concerned, what would be everyone's personal preferences for an XDs?

I'm using a Harwell IWB with the J hook. It works OK, I just find IWB uncomfortable.

What I really want is a quality molded leather OWB "pancake" type holster like a Galco Combat Master but have not been able to locate one yet.

My daughter and I have XD's. I prefer the Crossbreed and she will be ordering one also. It has a nice snug fit and easily conceals with little to no imprinting.

I have a Homestead Holster for my XD-s. Similar design to a Crossbreed at half the price. Nice thick leather unlike some knock-offs you find on eBay. You can get them through Amazon for about $40 or go to their website where they have a few more options. I bought the tan leather through Amazon, but you can get black dyed leather through their homepage.

I have no problem with the one that came with it. its comfortable enough to wear all day long. plus it keeps the weapon concealed very nicely with my long tailed shirts. im not sayin something else may not be better, im just good with what I got for now.

I recommend a White Hat Holster holster.

They are cheaper than crossbreed price wise
They use slightly thicker leather (in a good way, it's not bulky)
    They use better hardware
They have replaceable kydex so if you get a different gun, you just order a cheap new kydex piece and you can use the same leather
They have some sweet options for customizing your holster
They don't have the stupid crossbreed crosses on the belt clip

Best money I ever spent on a holster was on my white hat. Absolutely the best thing out there right now for ccw iwb.

Im just using a blackhawk iwb soft holster size 4.
Cant tell its there and my karhcw40 fits it perfectly also.
Not expensive and I can draw quickly.
And the biggest plus is it dont print.
