Workers needed for NRA Highpower National Championships at Camp Atterbury.

Hi, All,
I received a call from Joe DeCosta, Range Engineer for the NRA Highpower
National Championships at Camp Atterbury. Joe is charged with getting the
ranges (targets, supplies, etc) prepared for the upcoming NRA Highpower
National Championships that begin July 7 and run through July. They are
looking to hire approximately 20 youth, age 16 up, to prepare targets,
supplies, and ranges beginning in June (yep, today is May 30, so-- ASAP)
and maintain them through the duration of the matches. They are prepared
to offer $7.25 per hour for up to 40 hours per week (Indiana employment
laws apply). So, if anyone knows of any enterprising young folks looking
for summer employment please let me know!! They are NOT offering housing
on base so looking at youth within driving distance.
Since they're really under the gun (so to speak) with VERY limited lead
time, some other ideas: any scout or other troups that want to go down and
work/camp could offer the kids paid work experience for whatever time frame
you want to carve out, or use it as a money making thing for the group-- In
this case, the $7.25/hr would be paid into the Group fund rather than
individual wages. Just a couple ideas!
As I'm sure you can guess, lead time is rapidly shrinking and preparations
are WAY behind for this event already! So any ideas/help would be greatly
appreciated!
Thanks!
Sue
