I switched it up and took my nap early today and I just made a bacon mushroom and Swiss burger with corn on the cob for lunch.

Actually I gave Ruthie about a third of the burger. Made it too big.

I'm still getting used to having a teeny tiny dog. Don't get me wrong, that little fellow is 100% pure B*LZ. Just little!

But he'll do the typical dog thing if I overfeed.
Eat all he can, go drop some off for later and come back for more.

Thankfully, the last two times I did this to him, he dropped it in his bowl for later.

Looks like the rain is timing out to ensure my wife has wet feet all night.
Her approved boots are OK, but not that good.

Afternoon. Done with work. Had a brief downpour but it's stopped now.

ate too much, had a bowl of salad that needed eating so I added enough ham and cheese to make it unhealthy and stuffed myself

I was unaware of a way to eat a salad without ham or bacon, much less cheese. Even if I am making a Caesar it has bacon and parmesan and that is about as plain salad gets at my house.

It has rained all day since before sun up. I do not think it stopped for even 20 minutes. Not a heavy rain most of the time, just constant.

None here. I planted another evergreen ( near the Robin nest) didn't water it cause I expect the rain....and didn't want to disturb the birds any more than absolutely necessary.

Always a good idea to water them in. Unless you're expecting a foot or so of rain...

Tried out the new string trimmer and it works great. Grass was getting pretty tall by the base of the road construction sign out in the front yard. After contacting the mayor's action center 3 times, rather than pulling the sign, they have actually started road construction on the other side of Meridian from me. Sure glad they put the sign up 7 months in advance...
