That is a very smart business move (and the right thing to do). Sending a company shot caller to apologize in person and implement corrective action at that store right away is impressive.

    Slyvain,

I totally disagree if a person is so threatened by a Police Officer that the presents of Police puts them in fear they probably need mental help.
The issue to me is that a percentage of the population hates the Police and feels empowered to attempt to persecute them.
This group of people do not have a thought process of if I don’t wanna be around someone I will just leave, they want a conflict.
Police are subhumans to them and should leave the store no different than racism, in their mind the Police have no right to be in the store due to the uniform.

Just fire the moron “partner”. There is no reason to employ someone that makes such poor decisions.

If I owned a Starbuck's franchise (yeah, like that's going to happen), I would have a sign on the front door saying something to the effect of, "We welcome all Law Enforcement Officers. If that offends you or makes you uncomfortable, there is surely a Speedway or McDonald's within driving distance if you want some coffee."

I would have something more like, "All customers who conduct themselves in a civil and respectful manner are welcome here."

I'd base it 100% on behavior.

Is this where we are now?
    Yes.

The Sacred Cow Slaughterhouse » Ask A Cop.

We asked several police officers nationwide how to handle interactions with law enforcement. These were their responses:The birthday party down the street is a little noisy. What should I do?Call us and we'll shoot the dog. That will quiet the little punks down. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.2719156~~~What if I have a service dog?No problem.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O9GmUcp0Mo~~~You shot my dog! Now what? You need to saw its head off so we can test it for rabies. Or else you go to jail.http://www.miamiherald.com/news/nati...188099994.html~~~I think my friend is suicidal. We can fix that problem for him.http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/12/05...oting-man.html~~~That's really not a good fix.Well, there are other options. We can try to cheer him up.http://www.kansascity.com/latest-new...206165144.html ~~~I see a kid in the park with what might be a toy gun.No problem. We've got this.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Tamir_Rice~~~I saw a guy near the gun counter of WalMart with a gun. What should I do?Call us and we'll shoot him on sight.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooti...n_Crawford_III~~~I possibly saw a gun through a hotel window, even though that's legal in this state. We've got a procedure for that. Our swat team will make him do the hokey pokey then shoot him.https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mesa-po...turbing-video/~~~My neighbor is deaf, is that going to be a problem? No, the bullets will kill him just as easily.https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...-cant-hear-you~~~If I'm helping a disabled person and the cops arrive, what should I do?Seriously, we have no idea either. We'll probably open fire.http://www.miamiherald.com/news/loca...e90905442.html
