Well be glad then. If you are invited up again at this point make sure all is well in the marriage or it could end up like that guy in Scarface.

My (common law) uncle has a Mooney... haven't been up in it, or any other small plane since I got engaged.
55 hours, then had to buy a ring.

She wants me get my license, but it's not a something I want to invest time (and money) into.

Back then, I needed to buy a ring, and save for a honeymoon, plus my instructor moved on... I just sort of stopped.
It was fun to talk to my father, who was an ATC at the time.

One time he corrected my grammar over the air...

Me: Fort Wayne ground, can I get departure on runway 14 from intersection kilo for Cessna 2N222?
Him: May I get departure on runway 14
Me: May I get departure on 14 from kilo? triple 2.
Him: You're clear for takeoff on...

The instructor just looked over at me, completely bewildered (he did not know who the controller was). I just shrugged, "that's my dad."

I heard from later that our little conversation was over heard by the commercial pilots...
Fort Wayne ground, Chautauqua 3243 - may I push back from the gates?

I just want a small one like the Phenom 300. Nothing TOO fancy.

I just want to be at our vacation spot in 90 minutes vs 5 hours. Is that too much to ask?

And she’d no doubt like to see my Mooney taken away from me for the damage she thinks it’s doing to the environment.
Well, you are using 100LL fuel after all.

I think Wheels Up advertises prices starting at $1900 per hour, but that is likely a turbo-prop. The Charter Flight Group JetCard says you can initially fund it with as little as $25000

When they make a drone that has a platform for a recliner....you will have my ear.

Actually years ago i got a few hours in.

My dad was qualified as an instructor and had his ATP. Took up flying as a second career and ended up flying for Delta. Then he went into charter flights.

Little known fact. He flew the Palin's around some during the campaign. Said he liked Todd. Sarah not so much.

    LOL!

That reminded me of this story. Maybe you’ve heard it. If you haven’t, it’s worth a listen.

    Damn right I am!

I’d like to be like a friend of mine who has a TBM850, and burn Jet-A
(in something designed to burn Jet-A).
