YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THE WHITE EXPO IS FAKE TOO????? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

    (condescending voice on)
That's ok! You'll forget all about it soon. You'll be alright. Tomorrow's another day.
    (condescending voice off)

I'm sorry, I'm weak and couldn't resist. Just one of those days. :D

Hope you have a good one! :)

Yea just a small disclaimer... I'm not a racist either. I'm not racist or prejudice, I just hate everybody!!! :D J/K

Seriously though, opps, wrong thread. Still, I find the Black Expo and Black History Month just a bit racist. On the grounds I previously mentioned. You don't see Native American History Month. Or Middle Eastern History month. Or Canadian History Month. Ok Rant Off. My bad.

It's a crappy cell phone pic, but when I saw that I just couldn't stop laughing. I imagine the Walgreens employee responsible lost their job for that one. :)

I like to think it was a generic display and that the person didn't realize the message it seemed to imply. However, I don't put that much faith in my fellow man.

No, there IS a Native American DAY. I had a conversation with my friend about this. (not racist in the least, but) I said WTF, why is it the people we brought here to make our slaves have a whole frickin month, but the people we muscled to get the land we are on, only have a day?

Not long ago (months?), some students at a college wanted to have a "club" (white) but were denied because the school believed it would be racist. Yet some Muslim students were allowed to have a room set aside for such events. Huh?

Does anyone else remember anything about that? I can't remember where it was. Or how long ago.

There are many DAYS dedicated to Native Americans. I like the ones held at Angel Mounds in So. IN. BUT there is no month dedicated to their history. As a matter of fact, we don't know MUCH about their history. Not due to bad records, but due to the fact that most people DON'T CARE. I was in Order of the Arrow in Boy Scouts and Indian rituals always intrigued me... But anyway, sorry about the :hijack:. Didn't mean to start a riot!

That's an awesome day....only day when the beer turns green!
Fiddler's Hearth in South Bend (an old style Irish Pub) used to have a sign up on St. Patrick's that no they don't serve green beer, they serve it black as God intended.:):
