We're wrong for assuming that he wasn't being investigated due to a report but you're right for assuming that he was?
The case in point with me from the beginning was about showing an I.D. wether he was suspicious or not. I didn't assume he was being investigated, I said it is a possibility. No one knows. You would have to look at the police report. Even then, if they were not called, whats the big deal about showing an I.D. instead of making drama out of it and causing a scene. It doesn't make sense.:patriot:

So there is nothing wrong with a Leo going door to door telling residents that he wants to search their house with no warrant or probable cause? If they have nothing to hide, what would be the problem?

I really feel sorry for this guy, oh the travesty, if I was sitting in public with my pants down to my knees I would expect to be asked for my ID or at least approached by a LEO if one happened by. Big freaking deal his rights were abused, give me a break. If he was not such a jackass he might have just had to pull his pants up above his knees and walk away from it all.

I suppose if some woman was lying on the other side of the box, raped, then it would be okay to check the guy out or would that be another huge violation? Decent people don't need to walk by this jerk with his pants down to his knees at 11pm at night. What about their rights?

I don't think anyone feels sorry for the guy, that's certainly not MY point. The point is that the police should be held to narrow guidelines as to when they can ask for an ID. You seem to have a strong opinion that visible boxer shorts are enough reason. I'm not so sure. Regardless, I don't care about this particular individual one way or another. My only interest is if the cop overstepped himself.

I'd say LEOs going door to door asking to search your home is a bit much in comparison to a PO asking some jerkoff with his pants around his knees for his ID. That's JMO though.

So if a cop hates urban cowboys and you're wearing a cowboy hat, you're fair game for his unwanted attention? Nobody here is defending this guys appearance. What we are saying is the law is the law. Otherwise, the law is whatever a particular officer wants it to be. I prefer the law stating that saggy pants aren't cause for harassment lest I open the door to harassment being brought on me.

Barearms, you may or may not have a dead body in your trunk. I think I will pull you over just to be sure. Just think of how many serial killers I can get off the streets. It's for the publics safety afterall.

Is his license plate light out? Or is his genital showing though his boxer shorts?

I'll go on the record that if his uncovered genitals were actually visible the ID and arrest were reasonable. I just don't read it the way you guys do. The statement was visible "through the boxers". Also, it's hard for me to believe they wouldn't have charged him with exposing himself if he had.

Not when you have unauthorized citizens doing it for their own agendas but I won't go into that. So what side would you choose? A mob of controlling schmucks that your not sure of their intentions or take your chances with LE?:dunno:

Wearing a cowboy hat =/= pants around the knees, leading to his junk being printed through his underwear.

I find it funny how so many of you on here who cry of "rights rights, oh my God they're messing with my rights"
And then you turn and say "who cares if this particular guy has his rights, look at how he's dressed"

If you all had black hair and they decided to ID and check into everyone with black hair, you all would be crying "foul"

How can you justify rights for only the individuals that fit into your box?

Whoa. That's heavy. But go ahead and pull me over to check. I'ts for my safety as well as the publics.
If anyone ever tells you that they're afraid of me, I would watch your back around them. Honestly!:yesway:

The idiot brought the ATTENTION TO HIMSELF.

And thankgod he did.... Aggressive. Perverted. Drunk.

Sounds like a good combo for a rapist.

And if he did do something.

Undoubtedly many INGO'ers would start a b***fest for why cops are so lousy, never doing they're job, just handing out tickets.

That cop did Society a favor.

You're the guy! You're the guy who comes in after the movie has started and interupts everyone to get caught up on the plot!

Oh.....sorry...;) The epicness of this thread was just so compelling that I forgot to use purple. Here....how bout this......

I am sure that this thread will come to a reasonable, conclusive concensus among everyone on this board. Even NHV will eventually see the human rights violations in this thread topic.

Sorry, I have decided to be a sarcastic douche rather then get involved in the details of this thread:) Sometimes you got to sit back and watch. I think there are more than enough out there that have all the bases covered.

I think it's almost over. I don't think we can catch up with the thread about the guy being surrounded by cops and his magazine being unloaded. At least there was a call to the cops on that one.

    Thread jack is over.
