In all honesty no I wouldn't be okay with. It doesn't matter if the adult is male or female. It's their duty to say NO if a minor asks them for sex. Likewise it's an adult's reponsibility not to persue a child sexually.

I think it disgusting that folks are willing to murder and kill those who partake of young women, but think things like "Hot for Teacher" is acceptable. The standards present in some minds are simply staggering...

The law is the law. The same fervor I hold against underage sex applies for males I hold for females. The law stands, no underage sex. I think it is vile, chauvanistic and piggish to think it should only be applied one way.

In general, not always, but in general female sexuality is more easily tied up with deeper feelings, while male sexuality can more often be purely about the sex. This difference can play out as greater emotional harm to a female child in this situation.

That said, there should be equality under the law, just pointing out why people have the quite natural different reactions to the same circumstances.

Good points. I guess the biggest thing I wish we could have in this debate is more women inputs! I wonder if the revile we have for girls having underage sex is the same in their minds for boys having underage sex?

What would you do if your son was molested by a 48 year old grown woman Would you feel different if your daughter was raped by a 48 year old man? IF SO WHY? I'm mostly interested in the double standard that is often displayed.

There are lots of younger teenage girls who have pretty powerful sexuality and urges at a younger age than boys. That's in part why it's easy for predators to take advantage of that fact. It's also why it's difficult to distinguish between a predatory relationship and one that has emotional parity. The assumption is with a teenage girl it's predatory and with a teenage boy it's about sex, but this assumption is pretty dangerously shallow since on the surface it may appear to be about sex, but even for boys the level of bonding and emotional dependence on the predator can be high.
