Go naked. It's the only way to be sure. I had a knife (and gun) at Monster Jam, walked right past what little security they had. Never been to a game.

Last two Colts games I've been to I left it clipped at the top of my pocket and didn't get stopped. I have never really payed attention if there are any signs or not. I'd say don't worry about it, but you could just toss it into your pocket if you're worried.

The pat downs are iffy at best. Usually just the waste band and they check your hat. An ankle holster or a pocket gun could make it through half the time. The other half.......well you go ahead and be the test case cause im not:D

    Somewhere else
I've been there for marching band competitions and the security was a joke. I walked around there all day with two knives and one multitool on my belt and on one said a word. I could have had my MP5 with me on the field and no one would have noticed. My wife went in through the public gates once and had to break off the sticks on two small flags, both about 1/2 the diameter of a pencil, because they were potential weapons. I suspect though, that the security varies with the event. The recording that plays outside the stadium babbles constantly about bags being subject to search, no weapons, liquor containers, missile like objects (guess you have leave your RPG at home), ect. I would think that a discreetly carried knife would make it through. Most of the security at these events seem to concentrate on bags and purses. They have 70,000 people trying to get in at the same time. They can't afford to spend too much time searching each person.

Any reason you can't just leave if they want to take something you don't want to give up?
No, they will give you the opportunity to take it back to your car, but who want's to do that if your 8 blocks from where you parked?

Last season, I pocket carried my PT745 in there, security just looked at me and waved me through since I wasn't carrying a bag or anything. They did however check my wifes purse.

I am totally amazed that people will voluntarily go someplace where they know they will be searched and have their property stolen from them (for the safety of the general public) It's still theft. I refuse to spend money in places like that.

I went down to Turner Field in Atlanta last year to watch the Braves. It was before I bought my first gun and im planning a second trip next year and id like to carry my p3at in the stadium just becasue its not the best area. I read some one was caught(not during a game) with 300 baggies of i think it was crack cocaine. They tried to sell to a undercover cop. My dad went nuts when i mentioned it. Said id end up in jail. They only checked my daughters diaper bad. But when i went to chicago i took a stroller they pulled us right in and didnt check anything. Im kinda torn on what to do, but ive got plenty of time to deciede

Get one of the cheapo $10 spring-assisted knives (they were 2 for $15 in Kokomo) and carry it to the game instead of your good one. Worst case scenario is that you lose a $10 item.

Ok, quick AAR on Lucas Oil.

Before I got to the stadium, I took my knife and put it in one of the deeper side pockets of my carpenter style jeans. Got in line and watched the goings on of the 'pat down'. Well, it wasn't much. Each line had 1 person doing a pat down that was pretty poor IMO. You stood with your arms out (ala crusifiction) and they patted under your arms down to your waste. That was it. The kid that did mine barely even touched me, maybe hit my actual sides 2 times. I could have left the knife anywhere, even round my neck. I could have had my normal CC pistol, and would have been fine. An ankle holster would have been no issue. The only thing they did was have my wife open her purse (which she did ask me before hand "Hey, you didn't put a knife or anything in there did you? lol). That was a joke as well. After it was over my wife even said 'you could have put your gun in my purse and they wouldn't have seen it.'.

So take that for what its worth. The game was great! :)

call me crazy, but do you really need these items in lucas oil. its not the super dome. I know no has crystal ball and cannot predict the future. I think its a place thats safe environment?

What about when you leave and you're walking the eight blocks back to your car? People are getting mugged in broad daylight in that area, forget about in the evenings or at night after a game. And how do you reconcile your statement with what you said in another recent thread:

I find it absolutely amazing that LTCH enrollment is down. I can't speak for the rest, but the way the world is turning I want to protect my family to the best of my ability i.e.; being prepared to do what needs.

Yeah, and the kids in a college class room in VA thought it was safe too.

If *I* can get something in I technically shouldnt have, then who knows what else someone got in. Its my responsibility and right to protect myself and my family as well. :)
